Micheal Salameh, MSc, CDA
I am a licensed psychologist based in Dubai, supporting individuals with anxiety, relationship challenges, work-related stress, and deeper self-understanding. I offer therapy in both English and Arabic.
Therapy works best as something we do together. I bring real warmth, methods that research backs up, and practical tools you can actually use in everyday life.
We build a safe, private space where you can say what is really going on, without being judged or having to put on a brave face. Whether you are burned out, struggling in a relationship, or just trying to understand yourself better, the work stays focused on you.
Before psychology I spent years in the corporate world, so I understand workplace pressure, career uncertainty, and what it feels like when work starts to take over.
Therapy gives you a clear way to work through specific challenges. These are the areas I help with most:
I draw on several proven types of therapy, choosing the ones that fit you and the kind of work we are doing together.
I work with adults and expats in Dubai who are dealing with all kinds of emotional and relationship struggles. A lot of the people I see are navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties, or big questions about who they are and where they fit.
Therapy might be a good fit if any of this sounds familiar:
A lot of the people I work with look like they have it all together, yet privately they are carrying a great deal that is hard to handle alone. Therapy gives you a private, structured space to unpack what is really going on, understand the patterns underneath it, and find better ways to cope and connect.
My approach blends proven psychological therapy with a real understanding of the pressures that come with being a professional or an expat in Dubai.
Reaching out is the hardest part, and it is completely normal to feel nervous. Here is what the first session is really like, so it feels a little less unknown.
Therapy is confidential. Your employer, your family, and your community will not know you are here or what we discuss. The only rare exceptions are situations involving an immediate risk of serious harm, and those limits are explained clearly at the start.
I hold a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Glasgow, UK, and am licensed by the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai.
To me, therapy is a collaborative process built on empathy, curiosity, and evidence-based approaches. Together, we create a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly about what is truly on your mind, without feeling the need to filter yourself.
Moreover, my work with couples is grounded in the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to strengthening relationships and fostering deeper connection. Having completed Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, I welcome couples of all backgrounds and relationship structures.
Before transitioning into psychology, I spent several years in the corporate world. Firsthand experience with workplace stress, burnout, and career uncertainty has shaped my understanding of the challenges many professionals face and informs the support I provide today.
Whether you are navigating trauma, anxiety, identity-related concerns, relationship difficulties, or challenges within your partnership, my approach is rooted in warmth, honesty, and respect. Wherever you are in your journey, you will be met with compassion, understanding, and a genuine commitment to helping you move towards meaningful change.
Thoughtful writing on anxiety, burnout, relationships, trauma, and the work of understanding yourself.
